“The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in
the absence but in the mastery of his passions.”---
Alfred Lord Tennyson
I have always enjoyed looking through classmate’s blogs to see how they think. When someone is asked a question, there is a million and one ways that that one question can be answered. No two people will answer an open-ended question the same way. This displays our individuality. Every single person has a different way of answering the proposed questions asked each week through these blogs. One person that I think has mastered the concept of blogging is Stephanie. Stephanie’s blog is called The Rest is Still Unwritten. She turns the question from something that seems to be boring on the surface, to something that is relatable. Stephanie is always shed’s a light onto things that I would never think of. One thing that I am going to start trying to do that she does, is find a quote that relates to the topic. When you start off with a quote, it gives the blog substance. It makes it different and special, which I like. Through looking through other blogs, I found Brianna's blog. I really enjoy the physical aspect of hers. It is easy to read and appealing to the eye. She is a very personal writer. I like how she always makes her opinion apparent. When I write I want the reader to know where I stand on certain issues and not have to guess.Although, I feel as though being opinionated can be hard to work with, I think it is important for people to express their opinions. However, there is a respectful way of doing so without attacking anyone and their views, which I think Brianna does very nicely. There is always a positive way to express your opinion without offending others without that same opinion.
